Biography
The English writer D. H. Lawrence spent a great deal of time in Taos, New Mexico, where he imagined establishing a utopian community. Lawrence was a passionate defender of natural instincts in his writing and his work was attacked for its sometimes sexually explicit content. He died of tuberculosis at the age of 44.
